2019-2020學(xué)年的第一學(xué)期剛剛結(jié)束，盡管這學(xué)期非常長(zhǎng)，但好似時(shí)光飛逝，一下子就過去了。曼校的學(xué)生們一直保持著積極向上的態(tài)勢(shì)，追求卓越，他們也熱切地表達(dá)了為什么他們喜歡在深圳曼徹斯通城堡學(xué)校上學(xué)。

The first term of the 2019-2020 academic year has just come to an end. Despite being a very long term, everyone feels the time has flown by. Students have been motivated to try their best in all they do and have given various reasons why they love studying at Merchiston International School.

Indeed, students love coming to school here in MIS because they grow in their academic know-how and also enjoy their growth in an all-rounded manner.

At our self-contained campus students find the learning spaces modern and user-friendly with large libraries containing lots of books. MIS believes in “healthy body, healthy mind”. With this in mind students are taught different sports in the indoor and outdoor multi-functional sports facilities, including an indoor heated swimming pool. There are also music practice rooms, a dance studio, a recording studio, a black box theatre, art studios and lecture theatres.

Our British-style approach to boarding is the beating heart of MIS. Students love boarding here where they can spend quality time with their friends by doing homework and different activities together, they can make best use of school facilities and are able to develop greater independence.

A Variety of Fun Educational Trips

MIS also strives to broaden the horizon of our students by taking them out for a wide variety of activities across China and internationally. With Challenge Week, Exchange Programmes with Merchiston Castle School, music tours to Shanghai, Singapore and Malaysia, netball fixtures in Beijing. This month, after months of training, our students and staff stepped out of their comfort zones and tackled the mighty challenge of participating in the Angkor Wat International Half Marathon and 10km run in Siem Reap, Cambodia.

“讀萬(wàn)卷書不如行萬(wàn)里路”，曼校積極為拓展孩子們的視野與見識(shí)做努力，帶領(lǐng)學(xué)生們參加了國(guó)內(nèi)外多種活動(dòng)，如挑戰(zhàn)周、與母校愛丁堡曼徹斯通城堡學(xué)校的交流項(xiàng)目、到上海、新加坡和馬來西亞參加音樂游學(xué)、到北京與其他國(guó)際學(xué)校進(jìn)行無(wú)擋板籃球比賽等。在歷經(jīng)數(shù)月不間斷地訓(xùn)練后，本月初，體育組的老師帶領(lǐng)高年級(jí)學(xué)生們挑戰(zhàn)自我，在柬埔寨暹粒參加了吳哥窟半程國(guó)際馬拉松與10公里跑。
